I created and brought to life the design and motion concept for DAZN’s Women's UEFA Champions League campaign.
The campaign centred around treating the players as idols, with each match positioned as a stop on a tour. This approach celebrated the athletes as stars while capturing the excitement and anticipation surrounding the competition.
The visual direction drew inspiration from both vintage and contemporary rave posters. Exploring and combining aesthetic influences from different eras is something I find particularly inspiring, and it allowed me to create a distinctive visual language for the campaign.
My research also led me to classic football trading cards. Reimagining this nostalgic format provided a fun and refreshing way to showcase the players, placing them at the heart of the campaign.
I developed motion elements inspired by the iconic UEFA star garland, using it as a device to connect and transform imagery throughout the campaign. This helped blend traditional football iconography with a fresh, innovative visual approach that reflected the energy and excitement of the modern Women's UEFA Champions League.
