Koi

Koi

I was approached by Koi to create and conceptualise weird and wonderful content for their social channels. This project was a real joy to work on, as I love letting my imagination run wild.

Koi is a footwear brand that caters to an alternative audience, so I kept this at the forefront of my thinking throughout the creative process.

I drew inspiration from pop culture, memes, and cartoons. I've always enjoyed bringing a sense of fun into my work, so this project was a perfect fit. I worked across graphic design, motion, and 3D simultaneously, creating content with a retro, glitch-inspired aesthetic.

The content received excellent customer feedback, with comments including “elite advertising” and “Koi advertising, I love you”, demonstrating strong engagement with the brand and its audience.

Alongside the social content, I also worked on the branding for Koi's relaunch. This involved creating an interactive landing page that customers would engage with before entering the main website.

We decided to animate a hamster, the company's mascot, which users could stroke until it became increasingly overwhelmed. This style of internet humour felt nostalgic and perfectly suited Koi's audience, giving customers a memorable and unexpected experience that stood out from a typical website introduction.
